Is the dog bed washable and refillable?

Ask the salesperson for advice! Most dog beds are filled with foam, but some are filled with cedar, which repels fleas. Be sure that a cedar bed is refillable.

Make sure if the covering on the dog bed is removable and washable. Dog bed covers do get dirty.

• 1 cup flour
   
• 1 cup cornmeal

How to give your dog a dry home made shampoo bath

1. Mix the ingredients and pour them into a container roomy enough to hold the pet. A large paper box for a big pet or a deep roasting dish for a small pet will work.

I got some comments in my Clever dog names post about Rottweilers as if I am advocating that Rottweilers are bad. Well, I am not.

My first dog was a Rottweiler and the main reason I bought him was because he would grow big and therefore could help me out guarding my house that I lived in all by myself.

It’s definitely not a dog to keep on your tiny apartment: this dog has lots of energy and needs to let off steam. And although they look fierce, they are lovely around kids.

So Kristin Davis once rescued a puppy from a dog breed with a famous royalty name in it, yes you got that right: she has a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Being an actress herself, she named her puppy after another famous actress: Elizabeth Taylor.

Baking this dog treat is especially fun when your dog is having his birthday. For sure my border collie loves this treat!

Makes 1 8"(20cm) loaf of pet treat.

Dog Treat Ingredients

• 1 1/2 cups (375ml) all-purpose flour
• 1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
• 1/2 (125ml) cup margarine, softened
• 1/2 cup (125ml) corn oil
• 2 1/2-ounce (1 jar) (71gr) strained beef or liver baby food
• 4 eggs
• 3 strips dog treat beef jerky, crumbled

Dog Treat Icing

• plain yogurt for dogs or


• cottage cheese for pets

Dog Treat Preparation

1. Sift flour and baking powder together and set aside.


2. Cream margarine until smooth in large bowl, with electric mixer at medium speed.


3. Add corn oil, baby food and eggs. Mix until smooth.


4. At low speed, gradually beat flour mixture into beef mixture until the dog treat batter is smooth. Fold in beef jerky.


5. Pour dog treat cake batter into well-greased and floured 8"x5"x3" (20cmx12.5cmx7.5cm) loaf pan.


6. Bake this dog treat cake in a preheated oven for 70 minutes at 325F (165C).


7. After baking: let your dog treat cool on a wire rack for a few minutes. Then remove from pan to cool completely.


8. Ice each dog treat cake slice with yogurt or cottage cheese for dogs, or with cottage cheese for cats.
